Seeking Receptionist, Marketers and Salespeople

Store and office work available. We are based out of NE Texas near Dallas. US company. Work base is in Second Life* (SL) in our virtual office place. You work from your home, internet cafe or location of your choosing. You may live anywhere in the world as long as you can world approximately 9am to 5pm Central Time (US) (-6 GMT) Monday through Friday.

You need good broadband, headset or mic and speakers. Should have good command of the English language (written and spoken). Spanish, French or a second language is helpful.

Pay will currently be offered in Lindens (which is exchangeable to the currency of your choice) but hope to evolve within the next 6 months to a year into a formal position with pay option of Lindens or USD. Rate is daily plus commission unless otherwise stated. You are an independent contractor.

Receptionist/call router - Answer a dedicated line for the DOT Doctor from the comfort of your home. Obtain basic customer information and direct customer calls, greet guests/clients, take notes and relay messages.. Earn percentage of upsales from your direct efforts. Willing to discuss alternative options. Apply today!

Requirements - Excellent phone manner is extremely important. Location is unimportant but need you to work approximately 9am to 5pm Central Time (US) Monday through Friday. You will be answering a real phone currently set up through Skype. Experience in trucking and DOT compliance regulations helpful. Knowledge of HOS, IFTA, UCR and similar concepts would be a big plus. Need to have MS Office or similar software to take notes and forward via email plus Skype (free download). Prefer previous phone experience in this role but willing to train right candidate.

Slander Upon PQD

Anyone who knows us in SL or RL would think this has to be an April Fools joke.

To Whom It May Concern:

Slander is being placed upon my employer and friend, MidnightRose Segall. The PQD team offers quality products for low prices as well as lots of freebies. They also offer resales, clearly marketed as PQR, including Ronjas, sales from vendor boards and a place for any of the employees/associates of PQD to resale their duplicate or unwanted inventories. Our models love this service since they do not need to rent land to try to make a few extra Lindens. The PQD owners are generous in offering a shop in which we can all share in profits without incurring cost. Of course Midnight and the other partners offer up inventory they have purchased from other stores that they no longer desire. Credit for creation is in no way hidden during this process. We do not operate yard sales but I am certain you will find our objects offered at various ones through SL as you will find any other object.

Each builder in SL or even RL builds to their shape. Often we find ourselves with clothing or shoes that just don't fit right. Or we have that dress that was great for a party but now we want to clean out the inventory and pass it on to someone else who can appreciate it. The same goes for furniture, homes, toys and all other items. This is one of the main reasons PQD offers their items as mod/trans instead of copy. They understand that you may want to give an item as a gift or sell it to clean down the inventory as is the normal custom in SL. In fact, in the terms of service, it states that once an object has transferred hands, the new owner is bound by the perms. If the perms on the object offer transferability, the designer has to expect the item to be resold at some point in time. We, at PQD, have no illusion that our items will be resold at some point in time. Our advice to those who have issue with their items being resold should not put transfer perms on their items.

The notation that anyone at PQD has stolen anything is null and void. We are not thieves nor do we condone theft. Reselling of items is not theft. It is the nature of any free economical system. The illegal recording of a conversation without previous disclosure and the photos of our resale box are hardly worthy of taking seriously. The threats and defamation to the good name of PQD, however, is a serious matter. The persons perpetrating these efforts will be reported to LL if they do not immediately cease their actions. For unlike PQD, they are violating the TOS.

As for the group in question - we have noticed almost zero increase in traffic or sales from being a member of this "hugely successful and largest Goth group in SL". Direct tracked traffic and sales connection to the "largest group" netted PQD an increased visitor count of 9 of which 100L was grossed in the sales for the months were associated. Today ends that association. The complaint from their friend came after I chose to close my shop at their mall due to lack of sales. Let it be known that none of these people have approached any of us for a conversation. Their cowardly actions and false accusations are only shown via group posts. A third party contacted my boss re: these false accusations of PQD breaking the TOS. She politely gave up some of her valuable time to hear out the woman. When explaining her side, the woman in question became belligerent and rude. She called Midnight names and tried to belittle her. Midnight thanked the woman for her time and for sharing her feelings. This further enraged the woman. At this point, there was no hope for a civil conversation. Midnight is a very peaceful woman and excused herself from the situation. Today, I received a NC of harassment for this same female. Due to our ethics, the names of these women and groups will not be named.

Groups that allow their members to construe the TOS of LL to fit their small minded needs are not a group in which PQD will be associated. SL is for fun and escape from RL issues. We play the game, enjoy and relax. We view SL as a place to create, share and help others. Not as a place to defame others, harass our neighbors and create issues. Our items sell mainly in the area of 25L. Rarely do you find anything in our shops over 150L and in doing so, we gross less than $10USD a month. The people challenging us claim to be "successful" in SL. I leave you with this thought - if they are so successful, then why are they concerned over a 75L item for resale (price set and locked on the transfer box by the creator) on a one-off basis in our one store? By the way, the oh so precious item of value did not even sell.

Castle Calypso is a castle haunted by the Sea Witch Calypso. Hear the moans and screams of her victims and captures. The castle is filled with Gothic treasures including furniture on the 2nd floor, avs and dressing rooms for sale plus a prize chair on the roof and clothing as you enter.

If you escape her wrath, come to the haunted shores to visit the Swamp Witch, Calypso's cousin. Swamp Witch is an adult shop that offers a variety of treasures. For your consideration are lingerie, pose balls, sound effects, toys and our new furniture line for lovers. You will also find vendors with a variety of products such as silks, jewelry, novelty items and the HoneyDipper Line.

Ye Olde Pirate Shoppe is found on a capsized Pirate Ship. Enter the Captain's Quarters for shopping. The storage hold is where most hunt prizes can be found. Free rum from the barrel. Find pirate and nautical goods for the modern pirate to the traditional wears including Pirates of the Caribbean inspired goods.

Stroll over to Mickey Island for a secluded fishing hole but beware of the man eating croc. All the sands of the island offer 7 Seas Fishing Spots along with Calypso's Haunted Warf. Supplies are offered at Bone Daddy's Bait Shop. Next to the bait shop you can play tic-tac-toe, grab a surf board or jet ski or a free tube to ride the waves. A campfire with cuddle area awaits under the boardwalk. Venture to the far side to see dolphins jumping and enjoy a beautiful sunset.
